"hanging clothes" by Dan Katz

Hanging Clothes was a solo exhibition by artist Dan Katz, presented at Studio 88 in Đà Nẵng, Vietnam.

Working between hand drawing and digital composition, Dan created comic inspired portrait works rooted in popular culture, film, music, and television. Using black ink on white paper as the foundation of his process, the artist transformed familiar faces and fictional characters into graphic, highly personal visual studies.

For Dan, these images were more than references. They were long standing companions connected to memory, comfort, and identity. The exhibition explored the relationship between visual culture and everyday life through works that later extended onto wearable pieces, blurring the line between artwork, object, and personal archive.

Born in New York in 1981, Dan Katz is a self taught artist whose works have been presented in exhibitions across Los Angeles, Brooklyn, and Shanghai.
